Now that our second baby is on the way, we naturally have come back to Dr Sykes. A wonderful Obstetrician with a caring and understanding view to pregnancy and all that it entails. His consultations throughout my pregnancy were not only thorough but very reassuring. So with the onset on my pre-eclampsia condition, I knew I was in good hands. My subsequent Caesarean was a wonderful experience and recovery was so quick. Daphne, Dr Sykes secretary makes a fabulous first impression which ensures all visits are a joy and run so smoothly. Bek and I would not hesitate to recommend Gary to anyone looking for an ob/gyn - as a matter of fact, we already have to a couple of friends. He has looked after Bek so well physically and mentally with both pregnancies, and helped us bring a wonderful healthy baby girl into the world this year. Gary takes time to get to know his patients and the patient's husband and always has time to listen to and address your questions and concerns - you never feel rushed even when it's an emergency! We will be going back to Gary for any future ob/gyn needs. We always trust Gary has the health and wellbeing of Mother and child as his top priority and the sanity of the husband as well. Dear Dr Sykes, It was a strange feeling departing your rooms after my 6 week postnatal check up last week. To say the medical component of our first pregnancy and birth journey is now complete, and to think back how much life has changed since we first consulted you last September is wonderful. As you know my pregnancy was most enjoyable with none of the uncomfortable side effects some woman suffer, but instead the pleasure of a very healthy and active baby in utero. I looked forward to my progress appointments with you as your reassurance and support every visit left us so confident and pleased to be under your care. It was evident that from you knowing and recalling our development over the last 9 months and taking into account me personally, the necessary and correct decisions were able to be made during labour and this was greatly appreciated. WOW, Three beautiful boys created by God perfectly, all delivered by the wonderful Gary! With all my pregnancies Gary and of course the lovely receptionist, Daphne have been there for us through the bad and good times. I have found my experience of having all three of my boys (and 2 miscarriages) with Gary a pleasant and pleasurable experience (well, except for the birth bit!!). His compassion when things don't turn out is personable and professional. It's great to know you are in good hands. Gary was always available to answer any questions I had with confidence, which makes you feel reassured and at ease. His follow up after delivery is also great, not many doctors that I have had go the extra mile to make sure you are OK after their job has been done. His fees are also the cheapest I know of going around, which is great for the back pocket. Thanks Gary, keep up the good work.

Upon confirming my pregnancy with my GP, my husband and I were recommended to see Dr Gary Sykes. Once we booked the initial consultation to meet with him we were warmly welcomed by Daphne, Dr Sykes secretary who took all our relevant information and made us feel extremely comfortable.
