I will be away overseas on holidays between Tuesday 20th June 2023 and Monday 17th July 2023.
That means I will not be available to deliver your baby between those dates.
You will not be able to book with me for pregnancy care if your EDC is in this away time period.
Working back, I will not be able to deliver your baby if you conceive in the menstrual month with the first day of your LMP between 14th September 2022 and 12th October 2022. This calculation assumes you ovulate on day 14 of your cycle.
The exception is if your dating scan indicates if you did not ovulate on day 14 and have an EDC outside this away time period.
If your EDC is close to the day I leave you can only book with me if you agree to be delivered (induction or Caesarean section) before I leave.
While I will have an obstetrician colleague covering while I am away, I will be advising the colleague no one is due during this away time period and so my colleague’s work will be only to see antenatal patients, do deliveries that occur earlier than EDC and attend to emergencies.
Please tell family and friends who are planning to have a baby in 2023 and will want to book with me for pregnancy care.
