Both hospitals have recently updated their visitor policies
Norwest Private Hospital
In labour
- 1 support person only allowed. Can’t change support person during labour.
Postnatal ward
- Maximum of 2 visitors in the patient’s room at a time would include counting the one nominated support person.
- The one nominated support person must be the same support person from birthing unit.
- Up to two grandparents can visit.
- Children under 12 permitted to visit the maternity unit to meet their new sibling and are included in the two-person limit.
- No restrictions on visiting times for the support person (Support person to show evidence of COVID vaccination and negative swab result within 72hrs prior to entry).
- Visiting hours 5pm till 7pm only except for nominated support person.
- ALL visitors (except children under 16 years old) must be fully vaccinated and will be required to show their vaccination status upon arrival.
- Children under the age of 16 are not required to be vaccinated in order to visit.
Visitors must continue to wear face masks when inside the hospital, maintain physical distancing and adhere to hand hygiene protocols.
Sydney Adventist Hospital
In labour
- partner and one support person permitted.
Postnatal ward
- 3 visitors at a time.
- Can change visitors in a day but no more than 3 at same time.
- Children can visit but not more than 1 at a time and included in the 3 at a time count.
- ALL visitors (except children under 16 years old) must be fully vaccinated and will be required to show their vaccination status upon arrival
- Children under the age of 16 are not required to be vaccinated in order to visit.
Visitors must continue to wear face masks when inside the hospital, maintain physical distancing and adhere to hand hygiene protocols
