I have leg cramps!

Leg Cramps in PregnancyLeg cramps and muscle spasms are common. It is thought due to blood flow and electrolyte changes in pregnancy though not all pregnant women get them and the incidence and frequency vary

What can be done?

Stretch the muscle that has gone into spasm when it happens. Your husband/partner can help with this. Walking and doing regular exercises to stretch the prone muscles. Don’t wear high heel shoes. Calcium-magnesium supplements can help if your intake is suboptimal
