Stomach Numbness During Your Pregnancy | Obstetric Excellence

I have numbness at the top of my tummy. Is that ok?

Numbness in the upper abdomen region is relatively common in advanced pregnancy.

It is thought due to stretching of the abdominal wall and associated nerves with advanced pregnancy.

The numbness, while annoying, is harmless and will resolve once you have had your baby.

Occasionally it can be due to a concurrent and non-pregnancy related reason. So let me know or let you local doctor know so other causes can be excluded.
